Our website optimization FAQ hopefully will have some answers to help clarify what website optimization is. If not, reach out and ask us!

What exactly is website optimization?

There are a lot of technical definitions for this.  How I look at this is “optimization” is the maximize or minimize something. For example, minimize costs for groceries, maximize profit from sales at a garage sale, minimize the driving time to a particular location, etc.  For a website, what are we maximizing or minimizing?  Usually, people with a website, for their business, want to maximize sales from their website. There are a number of steps that get you to that point.  The first is to maximize the traffic to your website; even before that, it is to increase or maximize the visibility of your website on search engines.  This is what we aim to do.

Is blogging important?

That is up to you and the type of website and business you have. Providing useful, valuable and authentic content for your potential customer is important. Regular blogging is just one way of accomplishing this. First determine who you ideal customer is; create a customer persona for them and if they are the type of person who would take the time to read a regular blog, then blogging may be important for you.

What are the different components of SEO?

There are three main components to SEO: on-page SEO, technical SEO, and off-page SEO. There are special situations or nichese where the tactics in three components may be slighted modified such as with local businesses. In this case we can include “local SEO”.
