Boogie Doozy Candles is a local candle company located in Chelsea, QC, Canada. Doozy has been making hand-crafted candles since 1969, selling candles at local fairs, festivals, and markets, with a physical shop located in QC, Canada. Their candles are well known, well-liked within the region, and are referred to by many. They are looking to increase their organic traffic to their website and increase their online sales.
Challenge
During the Covid-19 pandemic, Bougie Doozy Candles realized that the online market was an untapped market. Doozy Candles wanted to bring more organic traffic to their website and eventually to an online sale by optimizing their website and online presence. The co-owner wanted to be able to make as many of the changes on their own on their own time schedule.
Solution
- Performed a conversion rate optimization audit of the site focusing on the home and shop pages.
- Performed an SEO site audit to determine areas of strength and weakness.
- Performed keyword research and recommended keyword groups for the home page and shop pages.
- Some of the recommendations provided include a change of keywords. E.g. using pillar candles instead of lantern candles; homemade candles instead of handcrafted candles.
- Recommendations for content on the site such as an FAQ page.
