My introduction to video editing and VSDC editor

I started this apprentice through Acadium at the end of March 2021. I was a lucky surprise that I found this organization, but that’s another post. I have been at this apprenticeship for about 2 months now and one more month to go. I’ve been enjoying it. One thing I learned that I never imagined I could do, or at least thought was beyond me and my abilities, was video editing. It actually didn’t take as long as I thought it would to learn and I really enjoyed it.

I used VSDC video editor. That was a tool I used and learned how to use for video editing. It’s a free took, but the pro version isn’t that much more expensive. $15-$20 CAD! I made a video on what I have learned so far about VSDC editor. You can find that video here.

VSDC video editor tutorial I made outlining what I have learned, so far, with VSDC editor.

And then some of the sample sizzle reels I made for my apprenticeship can be found here as well. Samples of sizzle reels made with VSDC video editor.

I enjoy learning and sharing that knowledge. Sharing has been in many forms over the years, as a teaching assistant, university lecturer, Pilates instructor, math tutor and just sharing with friends and family. Throughout, summarizing what I have learnt in words has always been there and continues to through blog posts, articles, video and the ever growing forms of content out there!
