Value of these courses is not the information alone, as you can find this information at a lesser price and even for free online.  But that you are working on your own website, business and brand with actionable items each week that will help increase your online visibility.  There is also a community of others that are working towards the same goal as you at the same time that you can connect with, talk to, share ideas, work through technical and other problems, and the instructor is also available between sessions to answer questions.  Accountability and active participation in your own business and online visibility is a big component of this course.  Everything from the traditional best practices of SEO to current practices to be discoverable in AI search will be included in each part.  This means the material is current.  Online there is a combination of outdated and current concepts.  However, the current concepts are constantly changing which is emphasized in each session in these courses.  Workshops will be offered as current online visibility practices change and evolve.

When both parts of a course are purchased together there is a 22% discount that if they were purchased individually.  The recommendation is that you take the two parts consecutively if possible rather than waiting until part 2 is offered at a later date.  This is strongly advised for the Build an Optimized Website Course.

These courses are not affiliated with any certification or accreditation. If you are looking for work in this field, these courses are hands on and will provide you with the start of portfolio pieces. As you continue working on your website on your own, you will be able to create case studies that can be used when looking for work.

1. What makes your courses worth the price?

They are hands one and they learn by doing. Mistakes are encouraged. Asking questions not just of the instructor but of you peers is encouraged. It is also an opportunity to network with others and learn from others’ experience. At the end of the course you will have practical experience, knowledge and something tangible related to your digital presence for your business, hobby, personal brand, or project.

2. Why should I pay when there are so many free courses or cheaper ones out there?

You are paying for so much more than just course content. You are paying to work ON your business, project, personal brand, your project in a supportive environment with others in a similar situation with guidance. You will also have the opportunity to network, work with and learn from others in a similar situation. This is more than just a course. You are also paying for the accountability to meet goals that will move your project forward.

This course is not a recording. It is with a live instructor. There will be the community of your class mates taking the course that you will have a chance to

4. Is this course suitable for me?

Depends who you are.  If you are someone who has a website and wants to increase the online visibility or someone who wants to build an online visibility optimized website and has a “can do, get your hands dirty” kind of attitude, the courses are for you. 

5. What if I need extra help between classes?

Extra help is available. There is the community that will include your class mates where you can ask questions. The instructor will pop in and answer questions. If you have bigger more specific questions that may not be easily answered online, one on one sessions with the instructor can be purchased. Note, these will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time and will be for you and your specific questions related to the material in the course and your website/business.

6. What if I don’t get anything out of the course, can I get a refund?

The only way you will not get anything out of the course is if you do not do any of the work. If you do the work each week and put the time and effort in, you will get something out of it. As with anything I have taught, the more you put into it, the more you will get out of it. These courses are no different.

7. What if there are unforeseen emergencies and I’m not able to make the classes?

Please go and see your instructor and we’ll see what we can do. A bit component of these courses is the group community, peer support, and learning from and with each other. These courses are also quite short, only 4 weeks long. If you feel that something may come up, please consider this before registering. There will always be another session you can register for.

8. It seems extreme to impose a penalty of $100 if I miss a class.  Why have you imposed that?

The penalities are to keep participants accountable and dedicated not just to the course but to their business / project’s progress. Think of the $100 penalty as the fee towards a one on one session to make up your missed session.

9. If I can’t make the class, can I have someone else attend to avoid paying the penalty?

Good question.

10. How often will you be offering these courses?

The goal is to offer each course each month however it will depend on demand and interest.

13. Will you offer courses from other digital marketing channels?

The goal is to offer similar hands one, practical courses in different digital channels where there is demand. It will also depend on whether we can find suitable expertise to offer the course. In and ideal world, yes, that would be the goal. For not, SEO / Online visibility / brand visibity is the focuse of the courses. Please do ask questions about other digital channels and references can be provided.

14. Will you offer CMS specific courses?

This is an interested question. Since many of the courses have require the participant already have a website and understanding of of the CMS used, not for all courses. However, for the build a website course, yes, this may be a possibility. In particular for ecommerce, onlinle store websites, e.g. Shopify

As demand increases, yes, the option for more specificity for a course, i.e. CMS, is certainly a possbility.

15. Will you offer an ecommerce specific course?

We would love to. There are so many online stores, an ecommerce specific course would be very relevant.

16. Would these courses be suitable for larger, enterprise sized sites and businesses?

17. What if I don’t want to take the entire course but just a specific module say personal development.  Is that possible?

Good questions. It will be in the future but the cost is much higher to discourage this and instead encourage a more complete picture.  The fee for taking a single module is $150.

19. Are digital copies of courses available for purchase so I can work through them at my own pace?

No, digital versions of the courses to work through at your own pace are not available yet. You will be provided with the recordings and course materials after each session so you will have all that material by the end of the course to use again. Keep in mind, the while the fundamentals of SEO (online visibility optimization) will most likely remain the same and have, modifications will be made depending on how search and the industry changes. The goal is to try and stay as current and relevant to the changes in search. This means that the courses may included slightly different material or modifications from time to time.
